The Favourite Dominates BAFTA Nominations

The BAFTA nominations were just dropped along with some surprise bombs including the one and only nomination for Steve McQueen’s WIDOWS for Viola Davis.  Another surprise is that not one acknowledgement for anyone associated with The Hate U Give or ANY actor from If Beale Street Could Talk (even though here in America, Regina King has dominated the Best Supporting category having just taken home a Golden Globe this past weekend).

The Favourite, literally earning its rep as exactly that, snagged 12 nomination leading the field followed shortly by Bohemian Rhapsody, First Man, ROMA and A Star is Born.

Hayley Quires and Wil Poulter announced a shortlist of nominees from BAFTA headquarters.  the ward ceremony will take place on February 10th at the Royal Albert Hall with Joanna Lumley hosting for the second year in a row.  Here is the full list of nominees…
