Kevin Hart became the latest celebrity to become immortalize with hand and footprint at the famous TCL Chinese Theatre courtyard this morning in Hollywood. Steeped rich in Hollywood tradition, the handprint ceremony has been solidified as a launching pad to coincide with its stars for premieres and first run films. Recent handprint-footprint honoree have included Jessica Chastain, Robert De Niro, Vin Diesel, Quentin Tarantino, Jane Fonda, Melissa McCarthy, Sandra Bullock, Emma Stone, Ryan Gosling, The “Twilight” and Hunger Games” star, Jeff Bridges, Sam Elliott, Stan Lee, Quincy Jones, Ethan Hawke, Keanu Reeves , Kin Novak, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Lawrence and Hart’s Co-Star in many film Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Hart, born and raised in Philly, has become Hollywood box office powerhouse opening 10 films in the #1 spot on their opening weekend. Friend and former co-stars Will Ferrell and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson were on hand to say a few kind words in his honor, but not without a little friendly ribbing.
Since Hart has made mad money for both Sony and Universal, both studios were in the courtyard to pay their respects, as well friends/producers/writer Malcolm D. Lee and Will Packer.
In addition to being a major box-office draw, his last stand-up tour grossed over $100 million worldwide culminating in a a sold-out performance at Philadelphia’s NFL Stadium and his memoir “I Can’t Make This Up” debuted at #1 on the New York Times Best Seller List remaining on the Top 10 Print Hardcover Bestsellers List for ten weeks straight.
With a heart as big as the universe, Kevin uses his digital network, the Laugh Out Loud Network as a platform for emerging comedians and is home to two premium series which Bothe feature Har – “What the Fit?” and “Cold as Balls.”
