Julia Roberts and George Clooney Sizzle in Ticket to Paradise

When pondering the reunited star power of Julia Roberts and George Clooney, one can’t help but giggle with glee!  The ease in which they embrace comedy and drama in one fell swoop is a sight that never gets old – especially in their latest flick Ticket to Paradise.

After their daughter Lily (Kaitlyn Dever) graduates college, she set off with bestie Wren (Billie Lourd) for a little rest and relaxation before hitting the workforce.  Instead Lily falls in love with a seaweed farmer, decides to marry and stay put living in paradise…literally.

When Georgia and David get wind of this insanity, they hightail it to Bali, with the intention of talking Lily out of it and bringing her home. As impure as their intentions may be, they realize along the way that their unresolved feelings bear one more go around.

Directed by Ol Parker, with some pretty cool life and love lessons along the way, this predictable comedy is a fun, fluffy cinematic tourism ad for Bali with the undeniable gold at the end of the rainbow being Julia and George starring in a rom-com.

As great as the comedic timing may be, its the tender moments that will melt your heart and make you think twice about what really constitutes being in or falling in love.  Newcomer Maxime Bouttier and Dever are nothing short of adorable, along with Billie Lourd whose sheer expert timing and presence will remind you of her Hollywood lineage.

Ticket to Paradise, which is in theaters right now,  is proof that the rom-com genre isn’t in its grave just yet, while making you crave a little more screen shenanigans from its A-list stars like…yesterday.  One can never get enough of Julia Roberts and George Clooney and waiting with anticipation for their next reunion! You hear that Holywood studio heads?!
