Mia Farrow was un-arguably one of the biggest movie stars of the 1960’s and her star twinkled very brightly after marrying the “Chairman of the Board” Frank Sinatra. However,

Never one to shy away from controversy, she took on the lead role of Rosemary Woodhouse in Rosemary’s Baby, a film about a young couple who moves into an apartment building with very odd neighbors. When Rosemary mysteriously becomes pregnant, concern over the safety of the unborn child begins controlling her life.
I watched this one night really late and although there were no real scary images…the suggestion of what we were to see was frightening enough.
Ruth Gordon took home the gold Academy Award night as Best Supporting Actress for her hilarious take on the character Minnie Castevet.
Written and Directed by the now outlawed Roman Polanski, his wife Sharon Tate would be murdered in 1969 by the followers of Charles Manson. Ironically enough, Polanski would later live in the Dakota where this film was shot.
In 2014, production started on a remake for television starring Zoe Saldana in the title role.
