The Croods: A New Age is The Perfect Animated Comedy Recipe for Right Now

Saying that Thanksgiving 2020 is different is a mild understatement.  Bur, Universal Studios is making it a little brighter with The Croods: A New Age.  It light-hearted silly fun that the whole family can sit down an watch after getting those bellies full on Turkey Day.

The Croods need a new place to live. So, when they discover a walled-in paradise that meets all their needs, they think all their problems are solved … except for one thing. Another family already lives there: the Bettermans.  The Bettermans dwell in elaborate tree houses with amazing inventions and acres of fresh produce and a are more than happy to invite The Croods as their houseguests.  But it’s not long before tensions escalate and the shenanigans begin. Guy and Eep are in love and Grug is having none of it.  He can’t bear the thought of his little girl leaving the clan.  After all, she needs to be eternally Daddy’s Little Girl…at least as far as Grug is concerned.

If that weren’t bad enough The Bettermans are plotting against the The Croods and at the end of the day, everyone discovers that they are better together. Between the gladiator insult scene, The Thunder Sisters saving the day, The Banana Bros, punch monkeys, the vibrant 70’s and 90’s love tune soundtrack and the very vibrant  colors of ‘tomorrow”, I giggled, gagged and had the time of my life.  Everytime that David Cassidy classic “I Think I Love You” played and that remake by Tenacious D – I got my entire life!!! Featuring the voice talent of returning stars Nicolas Cage(Grug Crood), Catherine Keener (Ugga Crood), Emma Stone (Eep), Ryan Reynolds (Guy), Cloris Leachman (Gran), and joined by new stars Peter Dinklage  (Phil Betterman), Leslie Mann (Hope Betterman) and Kelly Marie Tran (Dawn), this latest installment of the franchise is pure comedy.

Directed by Joel Crawford and in the spirit of the holiday season, Universal has announced a partnerships with Feeding America.  Each time fans use #CroodsCare on Twitter funds will be matched and donated the the Feeding America website via The Croods Care Landing Page.  So put that plate down and get to tweeting while having some good old fashioned family fun.
