It’s the Australian film that blitzed overseas box offices, caused a near riot at the Cannes Film Festival and won an Academy Award®. It’s fun, daring, over-the-top and unforgettable. It’s a road movie with attitude and the occasional frock with two drag queens and a transsexual traveling across the desert to perform their unique style of cabaret.
Fast forward to 2011, when a musical adaptation opened at the Palace Theatre on Broadway produced by the Queen of Camp herself – Miss Divine – Bette Midler and garnered two Tony Nominations. The show now has companies all over the world including Korea, Greece, Italy, Argentina, Spain, The Philliphines, London / West End, Sweden, New York / Broadway, Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Toronto, Sao Paulo, North American Tour, UK Tour and Italian Tour.
