Drac Finds Love in Hotel Transylvania 3: Summer Vacation

All your favorites are back for a summer vacation cruise in Hotel Transylvania 3 and will be thoroughly hyper, loony fun for those children under the age of 12.  For older kids and adults it may not be the summer vacation you were looking to cruise with.

For those who didn’t catch the first two in this zany franchise, Dracula’s (Adam Sandler) daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) falls in love with and marries a human Johnny (Adam Samberg).  Sensing her Dad may be due a much need vacation from being the proprietor of his monster hotel, Mavis treat’s Dad and his buddies, Frankenstein (Kevin James), Wayne the Werewolf (Steve Buscemi), Murray the Mummy (Keegan Michael-Key), Griffin the Invisible Man (David Spade) and Vlad (Mel Brooks) to a summer vacation on a cruise for monsters.

Drac resigned himself to never fall in love again until he unexpectedly  ‘zings’ for Erica (Kathryn Hahn) the cruise director.  Their courtship provides some pretty comical moments, but the relationship is doomed from the start when it’s discovered Erica has a secret agenda of her own.

Like most romantic animated relationships, they find their way to each other despite the odds and have a happy ending after all.

I’m a sucker for animated flicks, but I have to admit that I enjoyed this chapter in the franchise the least.  It seemed to have more lag moments than not and seemed to try a little to hard for laughs.  But, as I previously stated, this movie is not made for adults like me…it’s made for children.  So, having said that, they will love seeing their favorites on-screen and none will be the wiser.

Produced by Sony Pictures Animation, Hotel Transylvania 3:  Summer Vacation swims into theaters on July 13th.
