D-LOVE Review by The Curvy Film Critic
How many times have you been at the airport and some random person walks up to you asking for money, a ride or some other crazy request? I know I have, but would I ever offer to welcome any of these complete strangers into my home for an indefinite amount of time. I think not!
After arriving back in Los Angeles from a vacation that turned out to be a bust in more ways than one, Stefania (portrayed by Elena Beuca) and Dan (Rogers) are trying rectify losing his wallet and their marriage when a young, hippy looking dude ask for a ride going East. Thinking that his presence will be something out of a horror movie, it turns out D- Love (Ditlev Darmakaya) changes all of their lives in ways they never see coming.
D-LOVE has been critically lauded as one of 2017’s breakout independent features winning 10 out of 13 film festivals over the past 3 1/2 months.
A contender for both the Golden Globes and Oscars, “D-Love” begins its exclusive run from Friday, December 8-14th at the Noho Laemmle, 5240 Lankershim Blvd, North Hollywood, CA 91601 with shows daily at 1:50PM, 4:30PM, 7:10PM & 9:45PM and Q&A nightly following the 7:10PM and 9:45PM screenings.
