Saturday Morning Shenanigans Back With Mystery Machine Gang with SCOOB!

When the original theme song plays, it was like being transported back to Saturday mornings shenanigans armed with my bowl of Cap’n Crunch and ready to go an adventure, while witnessing the blossoming bond between a dog and its owner.  A bond that is so incredibly special that it is often taken for granted, when Blue Falcon (Mark Wahlberg) takes on a new recruit (Scooby-Doo) much to the chagrin of Shaggy (Will Forte) testing this dynamic duo’s friendship boundaries beyond the limits.

Dick Dastardly (Jason Isaacs) and his wheezing sidekick, Muttley are back and a new character voiced by the gorgeous Kiersey Clemons as badass Falcon Fury Fighter Pilot Dee Dee Sykes complete with a braided bun and a brain that is bananas.  Let’s not forget about the dialogue that has some great lines bringing the Scoop Doo franchise into the 21st Century. Like the one about stealing a mother’s Netflix account and being salty about the unfairness of that from those who pay religiously every month, selfies and Hemsworth brother references, plus,  a nod to ‘imposter syndrome’ (thanks Adam Sztykiel)

Overall, there are a few lag moments here and there.  But for the most part, families will enjoy taking a ride in the Mystery Machine once more.  Director Tony Cervone and Warner Brothers for bring a little nostalgia to quarantine life with SCOOB! proving that the bond between man and best friend will never break. After all, friendship really does save the day…animated or not.

And as a treat, starting at 7pm ET/4 pm PT on May 15th, there’s a special pre-show event featuring fun Scooby Doo moments with stars, Directors, trivia questions and exclusive premieres of two newly-released singles from SCOOB! The Album. Not to mention, the TikTok dance videos from the hugely popular #ScoobDance challenge that has rocked over 3 billion views!  Plus a new Scoob-themed PSA from Best Friends Animal Society (bestfriends.org) about helping homeless dogs and cats find their own best friends, just like Scooby and Shaggy did.

Following the fantabulous pre-show, fans across the U.S. and Canada are able to grab the film for a 48-hour rental via Premium VOD for $19.99, or premium digital ownership for $24.99, beginning on Friday, May 15th.  For more details, please visit https://www.watchscoob.com to preorder and experience even more with a fun family activity pack at https://www.scoob.movie/homepremiere.php.
