Orlando Bloom Stops Hearts Going To The Edge

We all experience fear. It’s how we face this fear that defines us. Often times one’s greatest fear is that if we don’t overcome what scares us, it will consume us.
Orlando Bloom has always loved adventures and being a risk taker has had his share of broken bones along the way. But Orlando Bloom: On The Edge is different. He is guided and inspired by some extraordinary individuals while embarking on a physical, mental and spiritual journey of self-discovery.
He undertakes three extreme sports — wingsuiting, free diving and rock climbing pushing himself to the edge of what is possible. With family, friends and his spiritual Buddhist practice guiding the way, Bloom goes on an amazing journey to overcome obstacles, face his fears and discover valuable lessons about himself.
As a practicing Buddhist, this docuseries really struck a chord. In chanting Nam-Myoho-Renge-Kyo, we believe our karma can be changed while taking on and overcoming obstacles to obtain ultimate happiness. It is a mantra that has certainly served me well in my life and if was reassuring to see faith in action through Orlando Bloom and his adventures.
Yet, watching him consistently grapple with the fact his adventurous nature could ultimately result in his demise was amazing and humanizing. We could all be gone in a moment’s notice due to no fault of our own, so we might as well live the best life available at our fingertips. This way there are no regrets when that time comes to exhale our last breath.
Executive produced by Bloom, alongside Jason Goldberg, Adam Karasick, Al Berman, Robert Simonds, Noah Fogelson, and Scott Weintrob , the photography is stunningly gorgeous in the air, under water and atop massive rocks is a heartstopping and thrilling experience.
