13 Days of Halloween – Friday the 13th


On May 9, 1980, a group of camp counselors are stalked and murdered by an unknown entity while trying to reopen a summer camp which, years before, was the site of a child’s drowning.

Thus the birth of Jason and his reign of terror.  Made with a budget of an estimated $550,000, the film would go on to gross over 37 million dollars and be one of the first films for a cinema favorite – Kevin Bacon.

Although, I  couldn’t be dragged to see this film in the theatre, I was a huge fan of the television series, which had more of a thriller, mystery vibe.
