Christmas Top Ten Throwback #10: How the Grinch Stole Christmas

There are many Christmas stories that air during this time of year, but my all time favorite is How the Grinch Stole Christmas.  Why?  It’s like a modern spin on the old Dickens tale A Christmas Carol, but with cartoons.  Cindy Lou Hoo is Tiny Tim and the Grinch is Scrooge.  Get it?  I knew that you would :). I especially enjoyed the vocal stylings of the late Boris Karloff as The Grinch, who at that time was mostly known for starring in horror flicks.  However, what I cherish the most is the message that Christmas is the one time of year even the most cynical of human beings has a heart.  A lesson that is so sorely needed in today’s world.  To date, the Grinch story has been made into a feature film with Jim Carrey and a Broadway musical.  Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukah, Feliz Navidad and Happy Holidays from Dr. Seuss’ holiday classic How the Grinch Stole Christmas
