#TBT Anne Rice’s: Interview of the Vampire
Zombies weren’t always the hottest commodity on screen. Hollywood has always been fascinated with vampires dating all the way back to Bela Lugosi as Dracula and Anne Rice, known as the “Queen of American Gothic Fiction”, hit pay dirt when her Interview with the Vampire novel was picked up and directed by Frankenstein helmer Kenneth Branagh. It starred Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt and a very young Kirsten Dunst (who was nominated for a Best Supporting Golden Globe Award).
If you want to get your vampire fix on nowadays, you can always click on the telly and tune into The Vampire Diaries (CW) or True Blood (HBO). Until then, take a look back with Anne Rice, Kenneth Branagh and Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles.
