Rose Reid and Jedidiah Goodacre are Perfect Cinematic Pair in Finding You

At some given time in an artists’ career we become blocked and our creative juices unceremoniously pause without notice.  What is the remedy?  Do we continue to torture ourselves seeking inspiration or do we simply shift our environment?  Violinist Finley Sinclair (Rose Reid) travels to an Irish coastal village and begins her semester studying abroad after a not-so-wonderful conservatory audition. So, on her way to a bed-and-breakfast run by her host family in Irleand, she encounters Beckett Rush (Jedidiah Goodacre), a handsome actor who’s filming another installment of his medieval movie franchise. As romance sparks, Beckett ignites a journey of discovery for Finley — transforming her heart, her music and her outlook on life.

We all have someone that touches our lives with their sheer presence if only for a reason, season or lifetime.   The reason and season.  Mrs. Sweeney’s (played by the legendary Vanessa Redgrave) relationship with her estranged sister, Finley’s heartbreak and continued healing from the death of her beloved brother ultimately shifts Finley’s outlook on life and the realization that one needs to re-prioritize what and who is important in the grand scheme of life.  The scenes between Redgrave and Reid are poignant, touching and intriguing. The lifetime. Beckett (Jedidiah Goodacre) made millions in a franchise that served him well and made him a household name. Plan B was never something that came into Beckett’s peripherial until he met Finely.  They become that sheer lefetime presence for each other which changes the trajectory of their life forever.

Based on the book by Jenny B. Jones and directed by Brian Baugh, Finding You is a charming, emotional film about anger, love, mistaking arrogance for confidence and what life looks like when one finds themselves and their heart somewhere unexpected. Using the lush green landscape and music of Ireland provides the film with a character who has no lines, but says everything you need to see and hear resulting in a undercover love letter to a country, its culture, style and energy.
