Night School is a Riot with Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart

With these Senate hearings and all the other mess going on in America, sometimes you just need to laugh.  Thank Goodness for Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart for taking a premise like Night School and providing gut-wrenching giggles for days.

Teddy Walker seemingly has it all.  Nice wheels, gorgeous girlfriend and a job earning a pretty decent salary. What he doesn’t have is a high school diploma.  So, when Teddy accidentally burns down his place of employment, he finds himself working at Christian Chicken aka Chicken from the  Lord and going to Night School in order to grab a better gig.  Of course, he decides to get the G.E.D. from his alma mater where an old classmate is now the Principal.

He and his merry band of misfit, Night School cronies engage in shenanigans that will have your side busting for days.  Haddish and Hart’s personal history help make this film all of fun for the first act.   It begins to drag during the second half until they all hit the prom and bust several moves on the dance floor. to “Hey Ya” by the now defunct hit group Outkast.

What I didn’t expect was to get a learning disability lesson in the form of Teddy.  Teddy didn’t take the SAT’s because he apparently suffers from a learning disability that affects his ability to focus.  When  Carrie (Tiffany Haddish) figures this out, she gives Teddy some tough love to get him on track.  After failing the five times, he ultimately triumphs proving that it only takes one person to believe in you to make a difference.

Night School is the perfect film to take your mind off your troubles and inspire you all at once.  Produced by Universal Pictures, Night School is in theaters NOW!!!
