#TBT Only You

I love Robert Downey, Jr…I don’t think I could ever get tired of saying that!!!  So when I found out that he and Oscar winner Marisa Tomei were starring in film TOGETHER…I was was all up in the movie theatre.

Destiny. Faith (Marisa Tomei) believes that two soul-mates can be united if they find each other. From the Ouija board, she has found the name of her missing half, and it is D-A-M-O-N.

For those of you who don’t know what a Ouija board is…according to Wikipedia…

The Ouija board (/ˈwə/ wee-jə), also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0–9, the words “yes”, “no”, “hello” (occasionally), and “goodbye”, along with various symbols and graphics. It uses a planchette (small heart-shaped piece of wood or plastic) as a movable indicator to indicate the spirit’s message by spelling it out on the board during a séance. Participants place their fingers on the planchette, and it is moved about the board to spell out words. “Ouija” has become a trademark that is often used generically to refer to any talking board.

Following its commercial introduction by businessman Elijah Bond on July 1, 1890, the Ouija board was regarded as a harmless parlor game unrelated to the occult until American Spiritualist Pearl Curran popularized its use as a divining tool during World War I.

Mainstream religions and some occultists have associated use of a Ouija board with the concept of demonic possession, and view the use of the board as a spiritual threat and have cautioned their followers not to use a Ouija board.

Despite being criticized by the scientific community and deemed demonic by Christians, Ouija remains popular among many people.  Some contemporary users regard the Ouija Board as a harmless toy, while others believe in its use as a spiritual tool.

Anywhoo, back to the film…It was a cute little film that is totally for the romantic at heart.  …and did I say that Robert Downey, Jr is in it…lol
