Review: RUSH

MV5BMTQyMDE0MTY0OV5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwMjI2OTI0OQ@@._V1._SX88_SY140_The world of race car driving is not a world I am familiar with.  Not due to lack of interest, but rather due to the feeling in the pit of my stomach watching a car spin out or catch on fire.

As previously reported and having been a darling of the film festival circuit, Ron Howard’s latest RUSH left me with exactly that — a rush from beginning to end.

Following the true life rivalry, lives and competition of Formula One racing drivers James Hunt and Niki Lauda beginning in 70’s, the audience is taken on the ride of a lifetime.  Chris Hemsworth (Hunt) and Daniel Bruhl (Lauda) give the performances of their careers and keeps us engaged for the entire film.  The race scenes are spectacular and the cinematography is breathtaking!!!

I won’t say anymore about the film as I don’t want to be a “spoiler”, however, I will say that my appreciation for what these men and women do for a living has raised to infinity.

Produced by Universal Pictures…RUSH is in theaters now…
